Safari Park

 

We went ~ 30 minutes north to Escondito to the San Diego Safari Park.  It was amazing.  The herds all co-mingle which was very neat to see.  We went on a 30 min 'safari' around the park where we saw the animals.

The girls loved to push their own strollers.

gorillas, this picture does not do justice.  There was a baby that is on the rope and there was just a little wall between us and the gorillas.  This is what Amelia keeps talking about..how the gorillas were eating grass.

We saw 2 of the last 8 remaining white rhinos.  Very sad to know that they will be going extict in our lives.

After the safari park, we went home to nap, have lunch and clean up for family pictures.  This was my favorite part.  I love that we got our family pictures done while we were on vacation.  The 'carrot' at the end was an icecream cone!

The cone was about a foot tall in a huge waffle cone.  We had chocolate, Lilly's choice.

We got just a little on us.  Then, the gulls came our way.  We fed them the end of the cone and they went NUTS.
