Trip to Boston

The family went out to Boston to see Steve's family. I took the girls out on the plane (a feat I didn't think I was going to survive). The girls and security was a breeze. Amelia slept through her 1st flight. Lilly was so excited about the planes and was in total delight when we took off. She loved having her own snacks (OJ and blue chips) on the plane and declared "I love Boston, so much!". Steve picked us up in Boston (he was already out there) and we headed up to Salem to see Uncle Tom, Aunt Lauren ( and Pemi. After a nap, we went for a walk around Salem harbor with Lauren and had lunch. That evening, the rest of the family came over and the girls met Emma and Ava for the 1st time..what a blast.

On Saturday, we went to the bouncy house place where the kids (and the parents) got all the wiggles out. Lilly and Papa enjoyed some stolen lemonade...little criminals.

Saturday night we went to Charlie, Emma and Ava's house for a birthday party for Lilly. Lilly is thrilled that she is now 3, even though her birthday isn't for another week--after the party she declared herself 3.

Sunday we went over to the cousin's house for some crafts and made ornaments for Charlie's tree and for Nana. We also made, and sampled, candy houses...yum!

That evening we went over to Nana and Papa's for one of my favorites (turkey in the wok). Lilly and Charlie were entertained by Papa's ham radio and steam engine

After packing up Monday morning, we spent some time with the cousins playing and then headed home. The girls were great, again, and slept the whole way home...Lilly even slept throuh the blue chips.

Looks like Boston was a lot of fun... Wish we could have gone.
