Last Sunday, while staying with Grandma and Grandpa, Lilly and the dog had a disagreement about who owned some crackers.
On Thursday, the issue became more complex.
Lilly: I no like Monti.
Dad: Why not?
Lilly: Monti stole my quackas.
Dad: That was a few days ago. Haven't you forgiven her by now?
Lilly: Uh huh
Dad: Do you know what it means to forgive someone?
Lilly: (silence)
Dad: When you forgive someone you don't keep blaming them for their mistakes. You look the other way and forget about what happened.
Lilly: (silence)
Dad: Do you forgive Monti?
Lilly: Monti stole my quackas.
Dad: (silence)
Lilly: Monti go in garage! Now!
